Evolutionary Step vs. Revolutionary Step

I've been reading up on Evolution recently and I have found some things that I can't comprehend. Let's go over some of them.

1. Many scientists believe that any animal that has a face similar to ours. That includes 2 eyes, mouth, nose and 2 ears was probably adopted from a single earlier species. That means that the face may have been one of the earliest defines attributes of life on this planet.

I don't disagree with science but what they are assume is that these attributes were more of a revolutionary step then a evolutionary step. By there definition it is unlikely that 2 species would not adopt similar features when life all began. I prefer to think that it is a very logical step that land animals would have these features. I think it's more of a evolutionary step and therefore most animals would gain these attributes naturally.

It makes me wonder about aliens. If it was a revolutionary step then their is a good chance that aliens would look nothing like human life. Forget about the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears on them. Although they may have something similar it may appear in a very different manner.

2. Many scientist think that their are animals out there that are smarter then humans. If though this animals are smarter then have been dealt bad evolutionary hands. They don't have the ability to construct any real objects yet if given the proper technology they would outsmart us. Of the most common of these is the dolphin. Such movies as Johnny Mnemonic and The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy have both suggested dolphins are smarter then humans.

I would have to disagree with this theory. We really can't say what these other animals can hold. We also can't say that if given the proper technology that they would become smarter then humans. It's good in theory but in practice it's nearly impossible to prove.

3. I have read a few articles that suggest we have reached the end of the evolutionary timeline. That our bodies can't get better over time. This has to be one of the dumbest things anyone could say. There are so many things that our body can do yet that hasn't been completely tapped.

Just to name a few,

a) ability to slow down blood flow to stop yourself from bleeding. Many people can do this by meditating or concentrating but in the future humans will be able to do this as easily as we breath air today.

b) Seeing further into the visual spectrum. Currently we can see along the color spectrum, but that still leaves out Radio, Microwave, Infrared, Ultraviolet, X-ray, and Gamma Ray spectrums. I can't see a need for some of those but it could be useful to see in the x-ray spectrum or the radio spectrum.

3) Even to keep it simple maybe in the future we will have bigger brains. Brains that would allow more store or information to be stored easier.

If this is the end of evolution then we should be ashamed of evolution. Evolution may not be all it's cracked up to be if it stops at us.

Just another nerdy though process.
