At 8:30 I was supposed to be at the Seven Oaks physiotherapy offices getting my back checked out. I was there like I was supposed to be, however the physician was not. The physician didn’t get there until 8:52. 22 minutes. Let’s talk about that 22 minutes.
22 minutes is a long time. A lot can go through someone’s mind in 22 minutes. Especially when there MP3 player died just a few minutes before the meeting. Let me try to explain my thoughts during those 22 minutes.
I arrived at the meeting at 8:23. I waiting and waiting. With no music and nothing to read I was starting to get really bored. I started to count the number of tiles on the roof, then the number of chairs in the room. Finally the secretary came to get me and put me in the doctor’s office. I took a look at my watch and it was 8:27. 4 minutes had passed although it felt like an eternity. I can’t complain because it’s still a bit early.
In those room I waited, and waited and waited. For what felt like 30 minutes I took a look at my watch and found out only 15 minutes passed. At this point I was telling myself that if the doctor isn’t there by 9:00 then I am taking off. This got me to thinking. Why am I waiting for this doctor in the first place? There are a lot of physiotherapists in the city who would love to have me. I seem to have to see a physiotherapist on a yearly basis. Each year I probably go about half a dozen times. I should be a physiotherapist’s wet dream. But instead I am waiting.
Now I am starting to tense up. It started to occur to me what a horrible first impression this doctor was making. If he makes me wait 30 minutes this time and he is trying to make a good first impression then does that mean his second time he can be 45 minutes, then an hour. This was the first seed of doubt that was planted in my head while I wait.
Then time passes on and I start to think about how much this is going to cost me. The initial charge for this great service is around $60.00. That could be a lot of money to the average individual. At minimum wage that is a full days wage and yet I find myself waiting. It occurred to me for a brief second that the longer the better because then I am really getting my money’s worth. But then that second past and I fell back into my negative thoughts.
The final draw happened at 8:50. I realized that I was waiting in line. Even though it was an invisible line there was still a line. I hate waiting in lines. It’s my worst quality. Every time I wait in a line I over think the situation. I question the need for the product at the end of the line. Usually I talk myself out of whatever prize or product awaits me at the end.
At 8:52 I got my jacket on and proceeded to work out. As I was walking out I bumped into the doctor just as he was walking in. I shook the man’s hand and simply said I had to go. I walked out the doctor’s front door and decided to visit the bakery across the street. There was no line at the bakery so I ended up buying what they were selling.

What if we were an atom on a baby’s behind?
I’ve been reading a lot of science books and watching a lot of scientific documentaries. I have been reading about quantum physics and the string theory. I have read about some of Einstein’s adventures and dreams and how little we really know about particles, and space. I’ve read about the theoretically 8 hidden dimensions that we can’t see and the 4 that we do understand. After all this reading I have come up with my own theory.
I believe that we are just an atom on a baby’s behind. Let’s review what we know about space and time by asking a simple question: Have you ever wondered what it would be like living on an atom? I have put a lot of thought into it. Here is what I have uncovered.
First thing that we would notice is space. When we looked up from this atom we would see a lot of space not unlike what we see when we look up from earth. As a matter of fact it is very likely that we would see stars too. We could even see planets close to us that would resemble our solar system. The sun would be too big for us to see but other particles would seem like far away planets. We might even find ourselves asking if there was other life on these planets.
Let’s talk about time. Atoms spin near the speed of light. If we did live on the atom then millions/billions of years would pass to us but to the baby would experience only a few days/months/years would pass. It’s taking into affect the fact that the closer you get to the speed of light the slower time seems to everything else but to us it still runs on normal time.
Then there is the theory of the big bang. All of a sudden we come into existence. Sort of like a little sperm penetrating an egg. I’m not entirely sure what happens after the sperm fertilizes an egg but from an atoms perspective it may look like a big bang. I know every time I try to fertilize an egg the girl always says it’s like she experienced a big bang. :)
There you have it. What do you think about my theory?

My Doctor The Wuss
So I went to see a doctor at the Pan-Am Clinic. I hurt myself a few days ago while playing floor hockey. I figured since I could barely walk and was in a little bit of pain I would get myself checked out. It was my back that was hurt and one thing you should be cautious about is injuries to the back.
Anyways my doctor and gave me a look-over and said that he believed he knew what the problem was. He explained it to me but he was using doctor language. I let him know that I was on some painkillers and didn't understand what he was saying (it was a lie but at least it got him to stop talking doctor like).
He told me that he wanted to give me some x-rays to confirm his diagnosis. I said sure and he pointed me in the proper direction. I got my x-rays and waiting for him to see me again. It took about 3 minutes for him to pick me up from the waiting room.
He took me to where the x-rays were and said you see this part, see how it's straight. I couldn't see anything, but I nodded anyways. That means I had .... Then he showed me the x-ray of my leg and said you see how this is curved. Once again couldn't see anything but still said sure. He said that should be straight. This confirms my diagnosis. I gave the doctor and pat on the back and said "Good call".
Anyways. He prescribed me some pretty crazy drugs for the pain. He also said that I should rest for at least the next 2 days. I should call in sick for work. This was a surprise to me because I had my injury on Tuesday. I had been to work each night. But he said without a doubt I should miss work and stay off my feet. I said I would, doctors orders and all.
He also prescribed me from physiotherapy. I asked him if it was absolutely necessary (testing how deep the waters were) and he said it is necessary in this instance. I said fine. But before I left I asked him if I was Dwayne Johnson would you have subscribed me the same thing. He asked who is that? I replied the rock?
I think I caught him off guard with that one because he said "sure would". I don't think he realized what good shape I am in. I guess he was being cautious but it seemed offly wussy to me. I think I could have gone to work tonight and tomorrow. I've done it for the past couple of days and the pain has subsided a bit. But I have to follow the doctors orders. When it comes to this stuff he probably knows more then me.
So I know I am in my bed all drugged up and happy. I figured since I was going to fall into this unaware, unconscious awareness because of the drugs I should watch something that fit the bill. I through on Pink Floyds "The Wall" and decided to write this note. I don't know if it makes any sense because I'm not in my right mind. But I sure am feeling good.

My open letter to Shapes
Here is the letter I wrote to Shapes about trying to get the start-up fee removed. It's not great because I was pretty tired when I wrote it. I hope it works:
I have been very unhappy with the services I have received from
Shapes. About 5 (approximately) years ago I joined your community. I
was on a contract for 1 year and then opted to just pay bi-weekly.
Everything was going great until the beginning of 2007.
I was preparing to go on Vacation for about 1 month. Because of the
length of time I wanted to have my account put on hold. I spoke to
people at the Mcphilips branch in Winnipeg on how to do that. They
told me that because I was on bi-weekly and not a contract that I
couldn't put it on hold. After speaking to 2 people there they
wouldn't budge. I tried to explain that when I came back in a month
that I was not going to pay the start-up fee again. They said since
the account will be canceled the only way to join again is to pay the
start up fee. The start up fee of course would cost me more then then
month I was missing. I wouldn't do that.
I would budge because I won't pay the start up fee for missing a month,
I won't pay for time I wouldn't use and I won't go on a contract (It's
nothing personal I just don't like contracts). I told them before I
canceled that I would be back in a year and the only way I would
rejoin was if the start up fee was waved and I could continue to my
bi-weekly charges.
During this time I joined my work gym. It was only $7.00 a month.
It's not the same class as Shapes but they are opened 24 hours a day
and they do have a lot of machines. But they don't have as many
machines and it doesn't have the same environment. Now that winter is
here I thought I would give it another try and rejoin.
I went into the Shapes on Regent to try to sign up. They found my
account but didn't find any notes left on my account about why I left.
I explained that my condition was that I would only sign up if the
startup fee was waved. They said they could not do it. Initially I
was just going to give it a few months before I tried to sign up
again. But I decided to write you this letter to see if you will
waive the startup fee. Just to give you an idea of how much money you
have lost from me because you wouldn't let me go on vacation I have
included a little table.
Vacation Start: June 2007 - July 2007 (Approximately).
Weeks that have passed: 78 weeks
Total money lost: 78 / 2 * $21.50 = $838.50.
To this date Shapes has lost $838.50 because they wouldn't let me go
on vacation. I really want to go to shapes and continue to pay
shapes. I would be happy to pay you the regular fees but Shapes will
not get anymore money from me. If you have the means to wave the
start up fee please let know. If you can I would really appreciate it
and be happy to start up service with Shapes again. I have included
the information below so you can look up my account to confirm the
details I have sent you. I have kept all this information because I
hoped to rejoin Shapes again.
[Info Removed from public domain]
I hope we can get passed this problem. Please feel free to e-mail me
back or even contact me by phone. I really want to get passed this
and rejoin Shapes because you offer some great services. Please let
me know if you can void the startup fee.

Evolutionary Step vs. Revolutionary Step
I've been reading up on Evolution recently and I have found some things that I can't comprehend. Let's go over some of them.
1. Many scientists believe that any animal that has a face similar to ours. That includes 2 eyes, mouth, nose and 2 ears was probably adopted from a single earlier species. That means that the face may have been one of the earliest defines attributes of life on this planet.
I don't disagree with science but what they are assume is that these attributes were more of a revolutionary step then a evolutionary step. By there definition it is unlikely that 2 species would not adopt similar features when life all began. I prefer to think that it is a very logical step that land animals would have these features. I think it's more of a evolutionary step and therefore most animals would gain these attributes naturally.
It makes me wonder about aliens. If it was a revolutionary step then their is a good chance that aliens would look nothing like human life. Forget about the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears on them. Although they may have something similar it may appear in a very different manner.
2. Many scientist think that their are animals out there that are smarter then humans. If though this animals are smarter then have been dealt bad evolutionary hands. They don't have the ability to construct any real objects yet if given the proper technology they would outsmart us. Of the most common of these is the dolphin. Such movies as Johnny Mnemonic and The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy have both suggested dolphins are smarter then humans.
I would have to disagree with this theory. We really can't say what these other animals can hold. We also can't say that if given the proper technology that they would become smarter then humans. It's good in theory but in practice it's nearly impossible to prove.
3. I have read a few articles that suggest we have reached the end of the evolutionary timeline. That our bodies can't get better over time. This has to be one of the dumbest things anyone could say. There are so many things that our body can do yet that hasn't been completely tapped.
Just to name a few,
a) ability to slow down blood flow to stop yourself from bleeding. Many people can do this by meditating or concentrating but in the future humans will be able to do this as easily as we breath air today.
b) Seeing further into the visual spectrum. Currently we can see along the color spectrum, but that still leaves out Radio, Microwave, Infrared, Ultraviolet, X-ray, and Gamma Ray spectrums. I can't see a need for some of those but it could be useful to see in the x-ray spectrum or the radio spectrum.
3) Even to keep it simple maybe in the future we will have bigger brains. Brains that would allow more store or information to be stored easier.
If this is the end of evolution then we should be ashamed of evolution. Evolution may not be all it's cracked up to be if it stops at us.
Just another nerdy though process.

Your future is pre-written, so just relax a bit
Let's wonder into an imaginary place. A place that is identical to ours in ever way. A planet that had the same origins as earth, and same principles to a tee. dust for dust and particle for particle everything was the same. Every hill, every drop of water, every particle on this and in this planet accounted for exactly where it is now.
Now we have to expand this imaginary place to interplanetary. All the stars, all the moons, all the quasars accounted for in exactly the same place. All space radiation, scientific principles and believes accounted for. To make it simple every that has an affect on you, the world, the solar system gets saved.
Now let's store this saved system into a file called the imaginary place. Now let's turn the recorders on and start recording the next 1000 years of our existence. We will call this recording the nothing_changes_no_matter_what_you_do.mp5.
Now that we are all of a sudden 1000 years in the future we want to take that old save that we made and start playing it. From that playing we want to start recording the next 1000 years from it. We will call this recording as it's_going_to_be_exactly_the_same_as_the_first_recording.mp5.
Now can you guess what happens when we compare those 2 recordings. In simple mathematical terms you get the equation nothing_changes_no_matter_what_you_do.mp5 = it's_going_to_be_exactly_the_same_as_the_first_recording.mp5. That's right. They are identical in every way. Every thought, dream, invention, experience is unavoidable.
Your future, past and present are all pre-written. You can't control it, you can't avoid it. But don't let me spoil the fun of life. Just keep living it.

They are making a new Conan
I've heard that they are making another Conan. I sure like the idea in theory but I am worried that they are going to make a few mistakes. I am writing this to let you know of a few things they could do to ruin it.
1. Their is no need to have any CGI. It's just going to make the movie less believable and cause unnecessary distractions from the plot and the characters.
2. The move must be rated R. This can not be a crappy remake like Die hard 4. Although Die hard 4 was good it would have been made better with a lot of blood and a lot of nudity.
3. Get actors that fit the bill. All the original actors were believable in the first two conans. I don't want to find out that they are going to get Tom Cruise, or that kid Shia LaBeouf just because they got a budget for it.
That's all I got for now. But if anyone wants to add there opinion feel free too.
